Darcy's Botanicals Curly Wavy Review

A while ago I picked up two product's from Dacy's Botanicals, a natural haircare and body line for curly, wavy and all hair and skin. These products are hand mixed in the USA and can be found on their website and in curlmart.

The products I will be reviewing are the Pumpkin Seed Curl Moisturizing Conditioner and the Shea Butter Curl Moisturizing Cream.

I like that these products are all naturals and have ingredients such as shea butter, and various oils to help treat and repair the skin and hair. I especially like that they also do not contain bad ingredients such as sulfates, silicones or parabens.

Pumpkin Seed Curl Moisturizing Conditioner
From the website: It doesn't get any more moisturizing than pure pumpkin seed oil! Our popular moisturizing conditioner will help to soften, moisturize and condition your beautiful coils. We scent this with a sweet, delectable pumpkin pie scent. Use as a rinse out conditioner, deep conditioner, or for co-washing. Adds a wonderful boost of softness and moisture to dry coils.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Virgin Coconut Oil), Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Extracts of Avena Sativa (Oatstraw), Urtica Dioica (Nettle Leaf), Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey) Salvia Officialis (Sage), & Juniperus Communis (Juniper Berry), Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol and Fragrance.

What I say: Thjs conditioner should have the word deep in front of it! it is extremely decadent and moisturizing and my hair LOVED it! It does smell like pumpkin pie- yummy but the smell could be strong at times. I also think it should be in a tub as opposed to a bottle to get it out a bit easier since it is so thick! But I used this both with and without heat. The heat helped the conditioner penetrate even better and it is extremely, extremely moisturizing. My poor dry winter hair adored it. The curls popped after the use and felt oh so soft.

Shea Butter Curl Moisturizing Cream
From the website: "Our Shea Butter Curl Moisturizing Cream is for all of our lovely customers who wanted a creamier moisturizer than the Daily Leave In Conditioner:) It can be used as a leave-in moisturizer and for styling as well. This one is scented with our Sweet Cream fragrance. The Curl Moisturizing Cream contains moisturizing shea butter, pumpkin seed oil, and silk protein to help keep your coils & curls soft, healthy, moisturized and frizz-free."

Ingredients:  Distilled Water, Unrefined Shea Butter, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Conditioning Emulsifier, Cetyl Esters, Silk Protein, Copaiba Balsam, Gotu Kola Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Botanical Extracts, Vitamin E, Paraben Free Preservative, Fragrance

What I say: I love the smell. The sweet cream scent is like cake and delicious. This is very potent and a little goes a long way for me. I tried it both on wet hair under my gel and also on day 2 or 3 hair to add moisture back in and had positive results both ways. It is easy to overdo this product and going heavy handed did make my hair wind up looking a tad on the greasy side one day. But the other days I tried I had excellent results. On wet hair I noticed my day 1 hair was not as fluffy (which I really liked!) and I also noticed nice shine and nice curl definition. Using it to add moisture back to dry days old hair also was nice. This winter has done nothing good for my hair and after applying a little bit of this cream section by section my hair felt soft, frizz calmed down and I felt good knowing my hair had something nice to repair it.

Overall my hair enjoyed both these products. It's nice a little goes a long way and they are so moisturizing. If your hair is dry I totally suggest giving them a shot, I think your hair will thank you. I now am curious to try other things by this brand.
