I have mixed feelings towards my March box. I don't LOVE everything in it, but I also don't hate everything. I found a product I am now obsessed with. However, there were a few disappointments for me in this one which I will get to below.

This month's box theme is Creativity. Along with the theme, we had to option of selecting a curated box of 1 of 3 items to be included. All 3 possibly items of suggestion were hair products much to my delight! I wound up going with a hair oil (see more below) but I will say- I wish one of the selected options was something geared towards curls. Another option I believe was a blow out spray and the final was a leave in conditioner from It's a 10 that I tried in the past but absolutely hated. I'm sorry, that product made my hair feel so gross and gummy like nothing I ever tried before.

-Fekkai PrX Reparatives Shampoo
I appreciate the size of this sample is a generous 2oz! When I read the description, this shampoo sounded lovely- a formula to cleanse, strengthen and protect tired or damaged strands. Sounds pretty ideal for my hair. It is even infused with Argan Oil and has a nice creamy Vanilla scent. However, here is my main disappointment: it contains sulfates! I have been sulfate-free for years, then had an uber brief affair with sulfates again for not even a month a little while ago. Sulfates + My Hair = Not a Match Made in Heaven. So because of the sulfate factor, this little guy will be passed on to someone who will use and love him. Bummer for me.

-Beauty Protector Protect & Oil
This is a Birchbox exclusive brand. I have tried a spray from them previously and had nice results. This hair oil claims to defend against UV rays, heat and damage. This stuff smells delicious- very warm, Vanilla, musky and delicious. I applied some to dry hair and it left my hair soft and shiny. I like that this oil is on the heavier side since my messed up damaged hair is so damaged. The only thing that would make this oil better for me would be if it didn't contain silicones as I generally try to avoid the non water-souble ones.

-Harvey Prince Sincerely Perfume
Usually, I really dislike receiving perfume samples because although I love perfume I am so picky with scents. I have the option on my Birchbox profile to not get perfumes often but this is the second month in a row I got one. That part- I disliked. But...oh man!!! When I sniffed this perfume I fell in love. It's good. It's SOO GOOD. It's so flippin good, I already used up the whole mini vial in a matter of days. ::tear:: At first I was concerned because I read the description- with notes of Indonesian clove bud, Indian tuberose and Japanese Orange Flower. It was also mentioned on the cardboard packaging that it is a spicy scent. When I read that, I was concerned because I do not like anything spicy or witn strong clove. I don't detect the spiciness which is great for me. I strongly smell the Orange Flower, and I adore Orange Flower and I also smell the Mandarin and Moroccan Rose inside. To me, this perfume is citrusy, fresh, uplifting with a little bit of sweetness. It is incredibly addicting and yummy.  Very light and perfect for Spring. You guys, I can seriously go on and on about how much I love this stuff- it's unbelievable. One of the best things I ever got in a Birchbox ever. Yes, a perfume is one of the best things I got in a Birchbox ever- oh the irony right there. I NEED the full size. NEED!!

-Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter
I wasn't thrilled to receive a highlighter in my box. I feel like I get highlighters so often and having combination, shine prone skin I barely use them. This one is described as a weightless gel formula that is also oil free. The application is different- it looks like a nail polish. The color is a pretty pink champagne. Though I don't use this as a regular highlighter I did use this on my eyelid and below brow bone when I didn't want to do full eyeshadow and it brightened up my whole face! I'll save this for that, but still I wish I didn't get highlighters in my boxes.

-Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge in "Sydney"
This is described as a velvety color with a modern matte finish that stains. When I first looked at the tube, I thought it was red and I was bummed out because I just do not wear red lip colors. On the lips, it shows on me as more of a cool toned red berry color and when it fades into the stain it becomes a really pretty light berry. I still wish I got more of a classic or bubblegum pink, but at least it is not out red. As for the formula- the formula is incredible! It is super pigmented, glides on like butter and it stays put! This lip color lasted through eating and drinking for quite a few hours. The applicator is uniquely shaped to "hug your lips" I liked it.

My March box wasn't the best ever, I could have done without a sulfate shampoo and highlighter, but it still had a few gems inside. For the price, you really can't go wrong!

So what is birchbox???
Birchbox is my favorite beauty subscription service. I have tried so many, at one point I think I was subscribed to six of them (!!) but now I just get Birchbox. Why? It's only $10, and though admittedly so, I do occasionally get a dud box, the super awesome rewards program makes up for this misses.

The Birchbox rewards program in a nutshell: when you do reviews of the products they send, you get 10 points. 100 points = $10 in the Birchbox shop which is fully redeemable for full size products! Birchbox also runs sales and extra points offers so if you are a coupon queen like moi, you wait until a promo is going in to cash in your saved up points and have a lovely guilt free haul. Also, any purchase in the Birchbox online shop or SOHO store  gives you points as well.
