CURLS Blueberry Bliss "Triple Theat" New Products!

Curls Blueberry Bliss collection is in my top five favorite hair brands ever. I was super excited to see the expand this line with three more products, and even more excited when they were sent to me to try and review from! Continue reading for my thoughts on these new "Triple Threat" additions to CURLS Blueberry Bliss!

From CURLS about the new additions:

"Triple threat is a term used to describe an inanimate object or person with three tremendous talents used to conquer an opponent… In our case, to conquer your curls!
...So CURLS upgraded the Blueberry Bliss Curl Collection with the #3newblue game changers to Enhance your MOISTURE, Expand your GROWTH, Extend your STYLE"

The Moisturizer and Milk have that same delicious blueberry aroma that most of the collection has. I absolutely love this scent, as does my fiance! It's fruity, fresh and so yummy. The Scalp Treatment smells very strong and minty. It isn't a bad scent, but different than the rest of the Blueberry Bliss line.

Aloe and Blueberry Juice Curl Moisturizer
From the brand: "to ENHANCE YOUR MOISTURE by refreshing, reviving and rejuvenating 2nd, 3rd and even 4th day curls! Formulated with certified organic aloe leaf juice to add strength, enhance shine and combat frizz and certified organic blueberry extract to repair damage, prevent breakage and encourage hair growth."

Me: This product is amazing except for one thing, so let me get the bad out of the way before going into all the goodness. I don't like the sprayer. This is not a deal breaker of course. But it shoots out in a straight, harsh line instead of dispersing into a fine mist, which I prefer. As mentioned, this isn't a deal breaker- I just squirt the product into my hand first and then use my hands in "praying hands" method to apply the product in small sections to refresh and scrunch it in. The actual juice itself feels so silky and lightweight and gave bounce back to second and third day hair while adding shine and helping with frizz. My hair felt incredibly lightweight. Sometimes with refresher mists, they are a bit too light and I need to go in with a cream or oil on top and with this I didn't feel the need to add anything else except for my hairline pieces, which are extra frizzy and damaged. I'll be repurchasing this as soon as I run out.

These pictures below are of second day hair using the Aloe and Blueberry Juice Curl Moisturizer. I applied it in small sections with a few sprits in my hand per section, used "praying hands" down the length of my hair and then scrunched. I then went in with the Blueberry and Coconut Hair Milk just on the hairline and ends for a bit extra moisture and weight since those areas are more damaged.

Blueberry and Mint Tea Scalp Treatment
From the brand: "to EXPAND YOUR GROWTH through the invigorating scalp treatment to refresh the scalp, combat dandruff, relieve itching, prevent dryness and stimulate the scalp at the follicle level! Formulated with certified organic blueberry seed oil, coconut oil and corn mint to soothe, and relieve dry, itchy scalp, prevent breakage and encourage hair growth. Equally effective at regulating oily scalp and conditioning the scalp and hair follicles while wearing protective styles."

Me: This is a nice sized, 4oz bottle. It will last a while. I use two droppers total to cover my entire scalp. I apply this oil at night and rub it in with the pads of my fingers for about 5 minutes or so. I like that this scalp treatment does not feel overly oily. The consistency reminds me of water, it is runny and thin which is good, especially since I've been applying every night but I don't wash my hair every day. I am using this treatment to help promote growth and fight breakage. Since I've been using this less than two weeks, it is too soon to say that I notice anything miraculous as far as growth is concerned, but I like how it feels and will continue to use.

Blueberry and Coconut Hair Milk
From the brand:  "to EXTEND YOUR STYLE by softening, moisturizing, repairing and detangling your waves curls and kinks too! Formulated with certified organic coconut milk and blueberry extract to moisturize the driest curl, condition overworked tresses, and enhance growth in one step!"

Me: The first thing I thought when I saw that this was a leave-in, is "What's the difference between this and the Reparative Leave In that is already in the collection?" I reached out to the CURLS team and they said "The milk is creamy and thicker and although they are both formulated leave in conditioners, the milk has a styling quality about it as it is made with Coconut Oil." I really like the original leave in, and I think I like this milk a bit better! It is definitely a bit richer, but not as rich as the brand's Blueberry Bliss Twist and Shout Cream. I prefer this milk to the cream. I feel it hydrates my hair better. I like that the extra richness in this moisturizes my hair that much more and helps fight pouf. I can use this on wet hair prior to gel and oil or on dry hair for second or third day in the sections, like my hairline, that really need some extra love. A little goes quite far with this milk.

Here are some pictures of Day 1 hair when I used the Milk as a leave in. For complete details about this wash day and what else I used, check out my "Hair of the Day" post here.
I've been reaching for the milk for quite a few "Hair of the Days" lately so make sure you are subscribed to my blog so you don't miss any. ;)

Overall, I really am enjoying the new additions to the CURLS Blueberry Bliss line and plan on repurchasing all three when I do run out. They're THAT good!

In the beginning of July, I did a blog post here where I told you how I began taking the CURLS Blissful Lengths Vitamins! I thought now would be a nice time to do a quick update.

Currently, I am on my 4th bottle. I take this vitamin every single morning. As with anything, if you want results you must be consistent. These vitamins are blowing me away. I've taken vitamins my whole life and I'm not sure if it is the mix of what is inside, the fact this is a liquid, or even a combo of both, but I actually think my hair is growing a little bit faster than usual. Granted, I didn't turn into Rapunzel in two months- let's be realistic here, but I feel my hair is growing at its maximum potential now. More than a few people have even comments that my hair is looking longer lately and I have these vitamins to thank! I probably should have measured my growth, but it is especially hard with wavy curly hair since definition is different day by day. I will continue to take them and can't recommend them enough. I'm impressed.
