Hair of the Day 1,2 and 3: So Spirally!? and an Announcement!

A few days ago, I tried some new CURLS Blueberry Bliss products along with some tried and true favorites and I was quite pleased with the results! Not only did I like my Day 1 hair, but it continued on to Day 3! Read on for more details.

So my full review of the new additions to CURLS Blueberry Bliss collection will be coming soon- probably next week or so. But this "Hair of the Day" was too good to not share. I really feel my hair is getting better and better each wash!

Here is what I used:
  • Cleanser: DevaCurl Low Poo Delight
  • Conditioner: DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture and Deep Sea Repair Masks combined. Heated for 5 minutes. Left in for about 30 minutes total. Rinsed out completely.
  • Stylers (wet): CURLS Blueberry & Coconut Hair Milk, Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray, DevaCurl ArcAngel, CURLS Blueberry Bliss Hair Growth Oil
  • Stylers (dry): Curls Blueberry Bliss Control Paste (not pictured)
I applied the stylers to soaking wet hair one by one, scrunching them in with my hair flipped upside down in the shower.  After applying all the products, I scrunched a ton again. I wrapped my hair in my Curl Ease towel while doing all my skin care stuff, removed the towel, then applied a little more ArcAngel and CURLS Blueberry Oil mixed together and scrunched a whole lot more. I then air dried. The way my hair fell today, I didn't feel the need to use clips to hold pieces in place. The Blueberry Oil is one of my all time favorite oils to seal my hair. I got a new bottle not too long ago when I ordered more of the Blissful Lengths vitamins.

Once my hair was completely dry, I used the smallest amount of CURLS Blueberry Bliss Control Paste on my ends and hairline. They're getting frizzier. It's trim time and my hair is letting me know it. Grrrr. The paste does a nice job and temporarily sealing the ends together to calm them down, without feeling tacky or hard.

I felt that to really get a feel for the CURLS Blueberry & Coconut Hair Milk, it was important to use all other products I have used before and really like.I'll have lots more details about this new product in my review post, but it was love at first use. A fantastic leave in that was not too light and not too heavy, and smells incredible to boot. Seriously, the whole CURLS Blueberry Bliss line just smells fantastic!!

Here are pictures taken inside with no flash but using my brand new ring light which I have been LOVING. Why did I wait so long for one of these?!? If you look at the last one, I played around with my part a little bit.

Here are some more near my house without the flash. Tommie even mentioned to me that my ends are starting to look a bit scraggly. Confirmation of me needing a trim. I'll go sometime in September. If you look at these pictures too, you can kind of see my underneath layer and all my hair that isn't the face framing/hairline pieces is in such better condition!!! That frizzier front drives me NUTS.
The eyeshadows I am wearing here are from the original Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. Mascara is the new Urban Decay Troublemaker which I will have a review on soon and face is mostly It Cosmetics with some Wander Beauty and Mally as well.

 DAY 2
Here is what I used:
  • Carol's Daughter Monoi Dry Shampoo, CURLS Aloe & Blueberry Juice Curls Moisturizer, DevaCurl SuperCream
After I worked out I used the dry shampoo on my scalp before showering. Then after showering and stuff I applied these products in small sections, raking through and them scrunching. My hair just feels so incredible soft!!

Here is what I used:
  • Carol's Daughter Monoi Dry Shampoo, Curls Blueberry & Aloe Juice Curl Moisturizer, DevaCurl B'Leave In, Curls Blueberry Control Paste
Before I begin, This was my hair post workout after taking it out of a low loose ponytail and headband. This is day 3 hair we're starting with remember:
I did the same thing as I did for day 2 as far as product application goes. Both DevaCurl's SuperCream and B'Leave In work excellent on days old hair for me. I tend to alternate the two, especially when I'm applying to dry hair on two consecutive days so my hair gets both moisture and protein since it likes both. Since my front was looking a bit frizzy, I used the smallest amount of the Curls Blueberry Control Paste to help tame it.

I'm SO HAPPY with how this Day 3 hair came out. For the longest time, as I was growing out damage my day 3s were automatically messy buns. I'm happy I can wear it down again and actually like how it looks! It's a bit frizzier than Day 1 of course, but it survived 2 sleeps and 2 intense work outs!
Eyeshadows are once again by Too Faced. This time from the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette! The lippie is actually three ColourPop Liquid Lips mixed together I just got in the mail. Complexion today is all IT Cosmetics.

I'm sure I'd be able to get Day 4 possibly down but at least half up. I wanted to publish this post today so next week can be more current again with when I wash my hair and such.
