Hair of the Days: Clarifying Shampoo Protein Treatment, GIVEAWAY COMING and more!

Here is another "Hair of the Day post. I'm actually thinking of renaming it "Hair of the Week" since I have been putting multiple days in the same post. Anyway, this week features my usual favorites from DevaCurl, Briogeo and more and includes clarifying plus a deep treatment with heat. There are also details about my first ever giveaway in here! Continue reading for more.

Here is what I used for day 1 hair:
  • Cleanser: DevaCurl Buildup Buster Micellar Water Cleansing Serum
  • Conditioner: DevaCurl Deep Sea Repair Treatment with ThermalCare Hot Head to add heat for 20 minutes, DevaCurl One Condition on top for an additional 5 minutes
  • Stylers: DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture (as a leave In), Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray, DevaCurl ArcAngel, Briogeo Rosarco Oil

Once I turn water off, while still in the shower on soaking wet hair flipped over I applied each styling product one by one and scrunched them in. After applying all the products, I scrunched a ton again. I wrapped my hair in my Curl Ease towel while doing all my skin care stuff, removed the towel, then applied a little more ArcAngel and Rosarco Oil mixed together and scrunched a whole lot more. Once I was just about done styling wet, I used Deva clips at certain points on my hairline that curl weird and air dried.

It's important to clarify our hair once in a while to remove any buildup and environmental toxins. Last time I clarified was about 3 weeks ago. The DevaCurl Buildup Buster does such a great job at getting my hair to feel really clean and somehow every time I use it, my hair feels so much lighter!! It also adds great shine. I used Deep Sea Repair After it since my hair was essentially naked so it could truly benefit from the repairing proteins inside the treatment. My hair has been responding so well to using the protein treatment weekly since it is so high porosity, dry and the ends and hairline are still damaged.

I tried massaging my scalp a little bit once my hair was all dry to see how it would make my roots looked. Honestly, I think I caused more frizz than I had prior to doing so. These pictures were taken at the end of a long, humid day which also aided to the slight frizz than I would have liked. But I still don't think they look bad!
he is so patient and loving to always take my pictures

My hair actually looked pretty good! Unfortunately I was up super early and went into the city for a couple things. I got home and was so exhausted I jumped in the shower and just completely forgot to take any hair pictures. Sometimes this happens. I'm sorry!

Here is what I used:
  • Briogeo Scalp Revival Dry Shampoo (scalp oil), Rosarco Milk, DevaCurl SuperCream

I applied the dry shampoo on my scalp after my work out prior to showering. I like to take my time to really massage this dry shampoo in because aside from refreshing, it has tons of hair growth ingredients inside. A while later I applied the Milk- which is a conditioning spray and SuperCream section by section in "praying hands" motion and then scrunching.

Today was rainy and I didn't leave my house, so I'm makeup free.
I was playing around with my part for these pictures.

 Day 1 Different Wash
These are day 1 from an earlier wash day last week. I posted on Instagram but not here. These were taken after being out all day. I wish I took more but time got away from me. I really was happy with how my hair turned out!

Do you want to try them for yourself!?

Photo Fail of the Blog
Today I have 2 fails to share

This first one I like that you can actually see how much healthier and nicer my underneath layers are under my frizzy, annoying hairline.

Hair In motion. This would have been cool if it wasn't blurry!
