Awesome Hair Day with Aphogee Protein Treatment, Briogeo, DevaCurl, The Mane Choice and more

I knew it was time to do an Aphogee protein treatment since my hair started to act a bit frizzier than usual. So I did one and was so happy with the results! I also decided to clarify my hair and used some newer products, as well of some tried and true favorites. Read on for more.

The brand says to do the Aphogee protein treatment every 6 weeks. I try my best to do as close to 6 weeks as possible, but since I've been busy later it was a little bit over. I was nervous what would of happened if I did it sooner. My last post using the treatment is here.

Here is what I used:
  • Cleanser: Briogeo Scalp Revival Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo
  • Conditioner: Aphogee Protein Treatment with heat for 20 minutes, rinsed and then followed up with DevaCurl Heaven In Hair for a half hour and rinsed again,
  • Stylers (wet): Witch I Love Your Hair Mist, DevaCurl One Condition Decadence, B'Leave In, ArchAngel, The Mane Choice Heavenly Halo Oil Mist Serum
  • Stylers (dry): DevaCurl Supercream, front hairline pieces only and ends

I can't get over how messy the Aphogee Treatment is, no matter how neat I try to be. It is so worth it though for the results and intense repairing to my hair. I like pairing DevaCurl's Heaven In Hair with it since it is so very moisturizing and silicone free. I almost used Melt Into Moisture, but since I multi-mask that with Deep Sea Repair, I didn't want to have too much less ofof Melt Into Moisture than Deep Sea (I hope that makes sense)

I've been using a lot more product than usual with important events and knew my hair was due for a good clarifying treatment as well. The Briogeo Scalp Revival is one of my favorites. It leaves my hair feeling so light and gives my curls extra bounce!

I applied products the same way as usual (see here) and air dried. Once my hair was dry I went in with SuperCream on the front hairline and ends. My hairline is really so much frizzier and obnoxious than the rest of my hair. As soon as I find full time work, I am going to splurge on Olaplex to see if it will help. But the Supercream added moisture to that section.

The Witch I Love Your Hair Mist can be used on wet hair as a primer for other products. I love all the hair growth esseential oils of Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint and even Castor Oil and Argan Oil in this spray! Plus, it smells amazing!! I reviewed it here earlier this week.

I have a review of The Mane Choice Heavenly Halo products coming hopefully next week. They're so great for dry hair like mine. I have really been enjoying their oil to seal my wet hair lately.

These pictures were taken using my ring light and no flash. I forgot how much I love my ring light! It sure comes in handy especially now that it is getting dark so early! (Come on Spring!!!)

I really was happy with how my hair came out. I actually really liked my makeup today, too. Of course on a day I did not leave my house and saw nobody. Go figure.
Before going to bed on Day 1, I put some Josie Maran Argan Balm on my hairline pieces and ends. I was watching an Argan Oil show on QVC from a few days ago and they were talking about the balm and I had some on hand because, of course I do. I thought maybe if I use this before bed it will somehow help the hairline. Here's hoping.

Here is what I used:
  • Witch I Love Your Hair Mist, The Mane Choice Heavenly Halo Softening Milk and Oil Serum

The Witch I Love Your Hair Mist is supposed to be a good alternative to dry shampoo. I thought it did a nice job! I also sprayed it very liberally in my hair section by section since I found out I need may hair to look really good tomorrow but it was past time for me to re-wash it, and I didn't want to wash 2 days in a row. Since my hair has been acting dry, I used 3 pumps of the Heavenly Halo Milk for two total sides of my head and then 4 squirts of the shine mist focusing on the ends and front again.

I am happy the curl definition was still there. My hair is slightly frizzy, but I got caught in a little rain. Ugh.

My Day 3 hair was pretty good, but I wound up rewashing when I looked at my schedule for the week and wanted to space out wash days better. I have got to be better at doing my "Hair of the Day" posts again. If you read and enjoy these posts, please do let me know?
