Westmore Beauty Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette plus Lipstick and Gloss Duo

Westmore Beauty released their Limited Edition 100th Anniversary Palette and Glamour Special Effects Lipstick and Gloss recently on QVC. I scooped up both and have been paying with them a few weeks now so I can give you my feedback and some looks I created with them! Read on for more.

100th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette
At time of writing, it is still available here.

"Westmore Beauty celebrates its 100th anniversary with this special-edition Hollywood Eyecons palette, featuring eight wearable eye shadow shades with the flexibility to go from day to night, natural to dramatic."

This palette is awesome, including the double ended brush it comes with! There are only 11,000 that were produced forever and it will never be redone so once they sell out, they are gone. Each one comes with a certificate of authenticity and are numbered, as you can see in my pictures below. I am crazy about these colors. It comes in a special collector's box and is shaped like an Old Hollywood Style Vanity with faux lights. So cute!!!

If you are unfamiliar with me (no worries, it is so nice to meet you!!) I LOVE pink eyeshadow shades! All of these shades are very wearable and both the matte and metallic finishes are stunning. I swatched the shadows dry, but you also have the option of using them wet as well for more intense pigment. The colors are soft and great for easy, everyday looks. They blend together like a dream with absolute minimal fallout. There is eyeshadow primer built into these, but I'm in the habit of always applying additional shadow primer anyway.

The double ended brush included is wonderful! It is actually infused with charcoal and antibacterial which is unique. I never heard of that in a brush before. I really adore the shape of both sides. The "pointier" side is perfect to get in my crease without being messy and also for smudging my bottom lash line shadow. The fluffy side is great for under the brow bone. With these shadows, I prefer to use my ring finger to apply them to my lid, as I feel doing this deposits more color.

You can see my clumsy self accidentally scratched the shade "Glamorous" before I have a chance to take pictures of the palette. Oh man I was so mad at myself for that!!!

Lip Glamour Special Effects Lipstick and Lipgloss
At time of writing, it is still available here.

"Packaged in a sophisticated dual-ended container that makes application easy and fun, the Westmore Beauty Lip Glamour Duo provides two glamorous finishes for your lips with a few Hollywood special effects.

Apply the HydraMatte Blurring Lipstick to achieve a dramatic matte finish to your lips while providing hydration and the special effect of blurring the appearance of dry, fine lip lines. Infused with rich butters, it helps to provide hydration while creating an unmatched comfort for a matte lipstick. The unique formula melts upon contact, providing an easy, glide-on application, and then dries down to an ultra-matte finish.

GlassFX Lip Gloss creates a highly refractive, uniform film, creating an amazing glass finish and fuller-looking appearance to the lips. It also provides a plumping appearance without any irritation. Use it by itself, apply over HydraMatte Lipstick, or apply over any matte lipstick."

I have to be completely honest. I was so nervous about these shades. The stock pictures from QVC looked so different from them on air and then when I got them home they looked different from both of the above. Crazy. I'm relieved the shades didn't look like the stock pictures.  The nude shade is a prettier, slightly darker version of my lips. It has a pretty, light rosy tone to it which I like. This shade works all year around and also would pair well with a more intense eye look. The rose shade is absolutely gorgeous. It is such a pretty cool toned dark pinky-rosy shade with slight purple to it that is extremely flattering and perfect for Fall and Winter.

The lipstick formula is rich, buttery and pigmented and feels nice on my lips. I really like how nice it feels, especially for a matte lippie! The color itself isn't long lasting at all, as it wears off when I eat or drink. That is one drawback. The lippies do seem to fill in my lip lines which I appreciate. The gloss is clear with a thin consistency and does not feel sticky or tacky at all. I do feel like the container holding the gloss does not have much inside of it. When I apply the gloss over the lipstick, I feel as if it makes my lips appear more full which I'm also all about. Both the lipstick and gloss have no scent at all that I can detect. I hope if the brand makes more shades of these lipsticks, they do more traditional cool toned pinks.

The lipstick and lipgloss come housed in a special, limited edition keepsake box that you can easily reuse. The components themselves are beautiful. They remind me of an Oscar Statuette. The lipstick portion is a traditional bullet that swivels up and then the bottom contains clear gloss with a doe foot applicator. I feel so elegant every time I use them.
