Lush Cosmetics Just to Clarify Jelly Face Mask

I really enjoy Lush Cosmetics' Fresh Face Masks. When they released a new jelly mask that does not need to be kept in the fridge and has a longer shelf life a couple of months ago, I knew I had to try one ASAP. I decided to try the "Just to Clarify" out of all of the options. Read on for my thoughts and review.

Here is what says about the mask:
"Ready to glow up? This vibrant jelly mask is full of papaya, orange and grapefruit juices to brighten your complexion with fruit enzymes. They'll break down dry skin that you'll polish away with ultra-fine bamboo extract to reveal the naturally glowing, smooth skin beneath. The result? Skin that looks lit from within. You're welcome!"

I selected this mask because I have acne prone, combination, shine prone skin that gets congested quite easily. I confirmed with a sales associate that this would be my best option and she agreed.
Let me get the one negative about this mask out of the way first. This mask does not smell nice. Scent is such a personal experience of course, and I dislike the aroma. I wish it smelled more citrusy, especially given all the essential oils inside, but to me it smells like a mix of seaweed and feet. That being said, luckily the smell doesn't linger so it isn't off putting to the point where I wouldn't re-buy this mask, because the performance is so good, I still would re-buy.

The mask is so simple to use. With dry fingers and on a dry face, you pinch some mask out of the jar, rub it together until it forms a paste and spread it all over your face. The black stuff you see in the picture on top of the orange is ground up bamboo which is a great exfoliator. I rubbed the bamboo all around the mask before pinching so I can make sure I get some with each use.
I let the mask hang out on my face for about 10 minutes. It does dry down, but doesn't feel tight or get super dry like other clay masks can. When I rinse it off, I gently use the pads of my fingers in circular motions to exfoliate and rub the product in as I rinse.

Even from the first use, I noticed after not only did my skin feel nice and soft, but my skin had this awesome looking glow and my skin tone evened out and clear. I don't always get that glow from face masks, so that was very pleasing. On the days I use this, I can get away with using less foundation that usual, which is totally awesome!

Right now I use this mask once a week, while using a different mask once a week. I mask twice a week in total. I am definitely going to use this mask up and for the performance and price point, I'd have no issue re-buying it, bad scent and all!

I've been using this for a couple of months now and I really feel like it is giving my skin an extra glow with continued use.

If you have combination or shine prone skin, or if you just want your skin to glow naturally sans highlighter, give the Just to Clarify Jelly Face Mask a try!
