Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection

Too Faced released their Peaches and Cream Comfort Matte collection exclusively at Sephora a couple of months ago now. I've had these products since they launched and am finally talking about them! Of the products in this line I picked up, some of them I love and some are complete misses for me. Read on for more.

What intrigued me about a lot of these complexion products is that they are supposed to mattify the skin and being very shine prone and combination, I'm always looking for new, amazing mattifying products.

Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray

Them: "What It Is: A refreshing, oil-controlling setting spray to keep makeup in place.
What it does: Infused with exclusive comfort matte technology, this revitalizing formula provides two optical effects: a matte finish for decreased shine and a soft-focus to blur imperfections. Vigorously shake product for 3 seconds to evenly mix solution before applying"

Me: This smells delicious, but that is honestly all I like about it. I was skeptical going in because I've tried over a dozen setting sprays and none of them really did anything for me and this one is included. Sadly I did not notice it mattify my face or prolong the longevity of my makeup. I did shake it as the directions stated. This one was a miss for me.

Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer

Them: "What it is: A cooling, mattifying primer that blurs, smooths, and brightens the complexion. What it does: Infused with exclusive comfort matte technology, this Primed & Peachy formula delivers a mattifying, soft-focused finish with lightweight, comfortable wear."

Me: Another product I had such high hopes for. I used this for a month and a half straight before giving up. I don't hate this primer, but I am not in love with it either. It didn't truly mattify my skin and there are other primers that work better on me. I do think it felt nice, isn't heavy and didn't cause break outs which is good. I liked the peach scent and the fact it comes in a pump. But this one is not a repurchase since as mentioned there are other primers I prefer.

Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder

Them: "What it is: A lightweight and comfortable, mattifying loose powder in a universal peach tint.
What it does: This transfer-resistant, peach tinted-powder works to visibly brighten skin while creating a silky-smooth, matte finish that lasts up to 14 hours. "

Me: Of all the complexion products from this Sweet Peach Collection, this one is hands down my favorite. I REALLY like this product! I generally prefer pressed powders in compact due to the mess factor. The component leaves powder all over and is indeed a bit messy. That being said, the powder itself is wonderful. Like the rest of the line, it has a peach aroma which I enjoy. This powder mattifies my complexion, nixing shine without caking into my pores or lines, it prolongs the wear of my makeup underneath and leaves my face looking airbrushed and like a flower petal. It photographs nicely too without flashback.

Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder

Them: "What it is: An innovative blurring and finishing powder for a flawless-looking complexion. What it does: This translucent, peach-colored powder contains optical correcting spheres to help smooth the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and other skin imperfections."

Me: Have I mentioned I'm a sucker for finishing powders? I'm a sucker for finishing powder. I was hoping this compact would be the pressed version of the Mattifying Setting Powder but it actually has a different purpose. Ooopps. I should have read better. This one isn't meant to mattify, but blur your face and make it appear smoother. Does it do what it is supposed to? Absolutely. By no means do I consider this one a bad product, it is just not what I'm looking for. It does make my face look soft focused and nice. However, this powder also brings back a slight dew and radiance that I used the mattifying powder to try and fix. This powder would be great if you have dull, lackluster skin and are looking for added glow.

I actually took home a sample of the foundation from the collection in a couple shades from Sephora. It was okay for me, not super full coverage or super matte like I would like. Since I do have plenty of other foundations I enjoy and also want to use up, I passed on purchasing the full size.

Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick

Them: "What it is: A non-drying, comfortable, and creamy matte lipstick in a wide range of shades. What it does: Infused with exclusive comfort matte technology, this one-swipe, velvety formula delivers intense matte color and up to eight hours of wear, so you don’t have to worry about re-applying."

Me: I like the lipstick formula a lot. I originally bought two colors and then Too Faced had a sale on their site so I picked up the other two. I own four shades of pink. I love pink lipsticks, what can I say? The formula on all four are extremely pigmented, one swipe needed for top lip and bottom lip each. They are matte but do not feel that drying and last quite a while on my lips. The darker the color, the longer they wear and even stain. All four colors lasted me through eating and water bottle sipping. Like the rest of the line, I really like the peach scent.

Overall from the products I tried in the Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection, there were some winners and some products that just fell short for me.
