Hair of the Days 1 and 2: Diffusing Again, Trying a New Co-Wash

My weekend wash days are pretty much guaranteed good hair days. Between Devacurl's multi-masking and BelleBar Tea Rinses, I've been seeing consistently good results week after week. This week, I did try out a new (to me) co-wash that's been hanging out in my stash a while. I also diffused again. Read on for more.

DAY 1

Here is what I used:
  • Cleanser: Curls Blueberry Bliss Reparative Hair Wash
  • Tea Rinse: BelleBar Anti Shedding/Growth with Thermalcare Hothead Cap
  • Conditioner: DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture and Deep Sea Repair Masks
  • Stylers (immediately after shower): DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture (as a leave in), Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spay, B'Leave In, ArchAngel Gel, Mirror Curls
  • Heat Protectant: Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection and Protectant Creme
  • After Diffusing: DevaCurl SuperCream

Like my last weekend wash from this blog post, I used Melt Into Moisture as a leave in again. The cold air and dry heat are just so rough on already dry hair! I swear that stuff is magic. Then just like last week, I styled my hair as usual with my favorite DevaCurl stylers after showering with my hair flipped upside down. You may notice I added in Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray! I finally got another bottle of this magic. It's super lightweight and you don't even realize it is in your hair, but it is truly an extra step against frizz. I let it air dry for a couple of hours and then since I was going out and can't leave the house with wet hair, I diffused with the Dyson Supersonic again. I used the Briogeo heat protectant creme, which is my very  favorite. Then I added in some DevaCurl Supercream for even extra moisture once my hair was completely dry.

As mentioned, I tested out a different co-wash this wash. The Curls Blueberry Bliss Reparative Hair Wash is a  "Rich and creamy sulfate free cleanser guaranteed to soften the driest kink, hydrate the driest curl and encourage healthy scalp and hair growth. Formulated with certified organic Blueberry Extract, Aloe Leaf Juice, and Chamomile Extract clinically proven to REPAIR, PROTECT, RESTORE and GROW your curls." (from their site). I'm a fan of the Blueberry Bliss line, so I was curious about this. It smells divine, as that whole line does. As usual, I like anything that promises to help grow my hair. I did find it did a great job at cleansing my hair without it feeling stripped at all, but I think DevaCurl No Poo Decadence and Curlsmith Conditioning Wash are both even more moisturizing for me. The Blueberry Bliss definitely wasn't bad at all, but with the cold, dry weather I'm going to stick to the other two for now and revisit this again when the weather warms up.

 DAY 2
This is Day 2 post workout hair. I used Briogeo Scalp Revival Dry Shampoo on my Scalp and CURLS Cashmere and Caviar Gelle through the lengths. I like the Gelle better on Day 2 dry hair to revive, add shine and combat frizz then I do on Day 1 wet hair.
