Curl Magazine Info and a Hair of the Day!

Today's blog post is a little different! I wanted to tell you all about Curl Magazine: a new fantastic resource for all us curlies of the world! I also have my first "Hair of the Day" self styled post trim ladt week. Read on for more.

So Curl is "a quarterly print and digital magazine teaching women all the tips and techniques they need to love their curls" according to the creator, Stephanie.

Curl will have digital issues, but if you are anything like me, something you just love flipping through a hard copy of a magazine in the bath tub or on a hammock in your hard! Good news, Curl will have printed hard copies also!

In the magazine, you can find products, tools, techniques, inspiration, advice from professional stylists and more! I'm hoping I will be able to contribute to the magazine in future issues once it is launched because I truly feel this is going to fantastic for curlies everywhere!

So, the magazine currently has a Kickstarter campaign going with lots more details and a video HERE. Definitely check it out and if you want to help, that is even better! There are incentives and rewards included in doing so!

This was a "hair of the day" from Saturday. I was due for an Olaplex No 3 and experimented with some new products and old favorites.

  • Cleanser: Jessicurl Cleansing Clean
  • Olaplex No 3- left on for an hour while I worked out before rinsing
  • Tea Rinse: Custom Bellebar Anti-Shedding/Growth
  • Conditioner: Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask with ThermalCare Hot Head for heat. Left in a half hour before rinsing.
  • Stylers: Jessicurl Too Shea! Conditioner, Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray, Jessicurl Oil Blend, Raw Curls Firm Hold Gel
I attempted to apply the conditioner as a leave in the way Sage taught me after she did my hair last week. (see that post here) so that my hair felt like seaweed after mixing it with more water. I still need more practice with this. The rest of my stylers I applied one my one with my hair upside down and scrunching. Like Sage also suggested, I applied the oil before my gel now rather than after. I then air dried. There was some frizz, but I liked the curl definition and my hair felt so soft!
