Smashbox Cover Shot: Pinks and Palms Eye Palette with 4 Looks!

As soon as I layed eyes on the Smashbox Cover Shot: Pinks and Palms Eye Palette I knew it had to be mine. In case you're new here (hi!) you may not know that I LOVE pink eyeshadows!! This palette showed up on Sephora's site mere hours before their Spring sale ended, so I was able to get it on sale!! Read on for my thoughts, swatches and looks.

Here is some information about the shadow formula and this specific combination I pulled from
"Each Cover Shots palette has a curated mix of colors, formulas, and finishes so you can nail the latest trends and create your own looks. Each portable palette includes six eyeshadows and two double-size base shades in a range of finishes. The shades give you intense pigment payoff and superior blendability, and were inspired by makeup trends seen and shot at Smashbox’s L.A. creative photo studio.

Pinks and Palms (fiercely feminine looks): This high-pigment, limited-edition palette mixes mattes, metallics, shimmering pinks, sunlit gold tones, and a hint of mint. It’s perfect for creating a fiercely feminine look inspired by soft, pink L.A. skies.
Truth be told, I of course heard of Smashbox and have a few of their lippies which I enjoy, but I'm not super familiar with their brand and products so I was unsure what to expect of this shadow formula. Much to my delight, the formula is incredible! ALL of the shades are very pigmented, buttery and blend together so beautifully. When worn over an eyeshadow primer, they last and stay vibrant all day long until I wash them off at night. I'm beyond impressed with the quality here.

I was surprised at the size. I didn't realize just how tiny it was. No big deal, since I never actually go through an eyeshadow palette anyway and it also makes it easier to carry. Not seen in the pictures is the cover also has a nice size mirror on the opposite side which is a bonus.

There is a nice mix of shimmer and matte shades. I can't think of a single complaint about this beautiful palette. I love the pink shades and also really like the bronze and mint shade thrown in. At first I was a bit confused to the mint, but it turns out to pair so pretty with the pinks!
