Wildwood Vacation 2018: Pictures, Hair, Makeup and Outfit Details!

Every year Tommie and I go down to Wildwood, NJ in the Summer. This was our 7th year going and 2 years since he proposed to me on the beach. We went for a shorter period of time than usual since he started an awesome new job, but still had an incredible time. Read on for more about my hair, makeup and lots of pictures!

We got there on Friday. It was raining off and on all day, luckily by the time we settled in the rain stopped. It was very cloudy and dark but I thought it looked cool in the photos. Of course I had to pose and play near the water! Wildwood has some of the softest sand I've felt at the shore. We had fun playing at the beach for a while, going to dinner and walking the boardwalk!

This was Day 2 hair. I decided to wash the day before since I knew it was going to rain and thunder. I went in with an all Jessicurl wash day, since they're gauranteed good hair days. I also used all Jessicurl again for Day 2. I used the Awe Inspiraling Spray to refresh and then a little Conident Coils cream and Oil Blend on top! I did add some of Tommie's hairspray also for extra humidity protection. That one is not Curly Girl friendly though.

This Lilly Pulitzer dress is more recent and I think still available on the site. I LOVE this print. The print is called "Sea Sirens" and has mermaids and octopi all over it. I also love the blue, lavender and green combo. Everything about this dress makes me happy. Aside from the print, I love the style. This style is called "Sophiletta" I love the sleeve length, the deep sweetheart-like V neck, the torso fit and even the details on the bottom. It's super comfy and easy to dress up or down. An added bonus is this dress actually has UPF 50+ to protect from the sun!

We originally wanted to lay on the beach, but the weather was only 73 and VERY windy! Not cool, nature. At least the sun was out. After breakfast at our favorite brekkie place, Uncle Bill's Pancake House, we found a 27 hole beach themed mini golf! Tommie and I love mini gold. He won this time, but not by much.

This is Day 3 hair! I didn't feel like washing it since I knew Sunday we'd be at the beach. I used Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray to refresh with a little Jessicurl Spiralicious and Oil Blend on top. Again I followed up with Tommie's hairspray. I had some frizz, but it was day 3 and I was near the water after all.

This is the "Jessica" style dress. Another style I'm crazy about. Short sleeve dresses are my favorites since I don't like sleeveless, as I am INCREDIBLY self-conscious of my upper arms. The V neck is also flattering also. This dress is a bit flowy, but not overly flowy to where it looks like a tent. This print is called "Aboat Time" and the lilac with blue combo again is amazing. Blue and purple together are my favorite color combo, as well as our wedding colors!

These first few pictures were taken in a restaurant with absolutely fantastic lighting!

After mini gold and lunch, we actually went back to the room to lay down for a bit. My neck wasn't reacting too well to the wind and I needed to rest. Once I was all rested up we went back to the boardwalk and beach for the rest of the evening!

Since I overpacked (of course), I thought an outfit change would be fun.

This second dress style is a "Short Sleeve Marlowe" in the print "A Wave From It All" The print reminds me of a beautiful sunset sky and I like that it is a bit different. The short sleeve Marlowe's are usually true to size on me, and again, I love the short sleeves! The boatneck neckline is nice too for when I want to be more covered, or just want a different look.

Sadly with the camera focus, my fantastic camera man didn't realize some of the shots were high exposure and didn't show the sky.

Sunday was our beach day! We actually paid for the motel room until Monday just so we could shower and relax again after the beach since the 11am check out time was just too early.  If Tommie didn't have work on Monday we so would have stayed over again.

This is Day 4 Hair! While at the beach I have Original Moxie Emollience Treatment in my hair so the sun can warm it up make it work intensely.

Both my cover up and tankini are in the print "Celestial Seas" Another print I am absolutely crazy about! Lilly knocked it out of the park with the Summer 2018 prints! I love the blue and sea theme. The caftan style cover up is called "Arline Cover Up" it is a sheer silk material with such pretty details on the neckline. The tassels make it fun!

I usually love going all the way into the water at the beach, but it was very windy again and a high of 78 degrees. If I went in the water I would have been way too cold. Next time! You can see the wind in these pictures.

After the beach I washed with all Jessicurl and some Raw Curs again. Their travel sizes made it so convenient to have everything I needed with me! We had one last dinner on the boardwalk before heading home. We were in real relaxation mode and actually didn't take any more pictures!

Makeup wise was simple for the weekend. I brought absolute minimal products. At the beach, I had on a clear SPF but for the other days I brought the following:

-It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer
-It Cosmetics CC Cream in FAIR and LIGHT
-Wander Beauty Dualist Concealer in FAIR
-Wander Beauty Exquisite Eyes Liquid Shadows (I brought three shades to pick from)
-Grande Cosmetics Lash Primer
-Laura Geller Lash Boss Mascara
-Doll 10 HydraLux liners in Noir and Brighten Up
-Doll 10 Beauty Brow Architect
-Wander Beauty On-The-Go Blush in Soft Pink
-Wander Beauty Bronze and Glow in "Capri"
-It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation SPF 50 in FAIR
-It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Vitality Gloss Stain
-Doll 10 Beauty Setting Mist

I used the new IT Cosmetics INSULATED MAKEUP BAG! My dear friend Emily gifted this to me and I am OBSESSED. A makeup bag that helps your cosmetics from melting in heat!? GENIUS.

I hope you enjoyed my Wildwood pictures! Thank you for reading!
