Briogeo Curl Charisma Chia and Flax Seed Coil Custard

I have been playing around with the new Curl Charisma Chia and Flax Seed Coil Custard for a good month now. I've become obsessed, and it is now on my Holy Grail list! September's wedding craziness caused a delay in my review, but better late than never, right? Continue reading for more of my thoughts.

Here is some information about the product from the brand:

A rich and creamy leave-in styler for curly and coily hair textures that hydrates, defines and enhances curls and coils.

Curl Charisma Chia + Flax Seed Coil Custard is a thick, rich, and creamy moisturizing styler that harnesses the conditioning benefits of flaxseed oil & shea butter and the nurturing power of chia seed and rice amino acids. This complex of rich moisturizers leaves even the driest of curls and coils soft and supple, while enhancing definition and providing flexible styling control.

-Chia Seed Oil: Supports nourished and strong hair.
-Flax Seed Oil: Provides extensive conditioning benefits.
-Rice Amino Acids: Helps to seal the hair cuticle to prevent frizz.
-Shea Butter: Softens and hydrates curls with rich antioxidants.

Like all Briogeo products, this Coil Custard is free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA and artifical dyes. It is also cruelty free.
Though this product is marketed towards those with tighter curls and coils, I had a feeling my looser curly waves would love this since my hair is high porosity, super frizzy and super dry. I was right!! My hair simply adores this stuff for the moisture, hold and protein inside. My hair just adores stylers with proteins.

If you are a looser wavy like me, please try with caution and remember less is more. This custard is extremely rich and you will probably only need a super small amount at a time.

Before even using the custard on wet hair right after the shower, I've been using it on Day 2 or Day 3 hair and it is INCREDIBLE. This is my new favorite days old styler. Sometimes I would use a refresher spray before hand, or sometimes I would use it alone depending on how my hair looked and how much help it needed. This custard helps to calm frizz, add weight to fight unwanted pouf (if you love volume, this is not the product for you), increase curl, add moisture and leave hair soft. What truly blows me away about this custard is that it seems to help control my obnoxious hairline out of control pieces like nothing else can.

I admit, the following day 2 pictures were taken the night before my wedding and also while on my minimoon in Cape Cod so they were all in outside light and not typical "in my room with my ring light" type pictures.

Day 2 Hair
-I used the Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray with the Briogeo Coil Custard on top.

 Day 2 Hair (a different day 2)
-I used Witch I Love Your Hair Magic Mist with the Briogeo Coil Custard on top. I touched up, adding a little more coil custard with the outfit change.

 Day 3 Hair
-this was the day after the day 2 right above. I used added some more Coil Custard to my ends and front and scrunched.
This Day 3 is especially impressive because I was out in the rain earlier!!

Day 2 (yet another day 2)
-I just used some Briogeo Coil Custard

Day 1 Hair
This was with the Curl Charisma Coil Custard used on wet hair. I additionally used a leave in as well as Briogeo's Rosarco Oil to seal. I air dried completely. Though my hair felt soft and I did have nice definition, I also have some frizz. My hair in general prefers super strong hold gel on wet hair, especially to get good day 2 or 3 hair so I wasn't surprised by these results. But still, for just a cream on wet hair I didn't think it came out bad! I do want to try using this under a gel on wet hair soon to see what happens.

Overall, the Curl Charisma Coil Custard is another solid product by one of my all time favorite hair care brands, Briogeo. For dry, curly hair this product should not be missed!
