Sephora and Ulta Fall '18 Sale Hauls and 2 Good Hair Days

One of the best things about this time of the year is knowing the good sales are starting. I recently hauled from both Sephora's VIB Rouge sale and Ulta's most recent prestige sale. Some gift cards definitely helped with my haulin'. I also figured I'd chat briefly in this blog post about a great wash day and even better Day 2 Hair! Read on for more.

My haul has a good combination of skin care, hair care and some makeup. For the most part, I picked up things I use and go through quite regularly, but I couldn't help myself getting a couple fun makeup items, too!

All products mentioned are in the YouTube description box. If you can subscribe to my channel if you are not already, that would be super awesome!!

I've been slacking with detailed hair posts, I know. Truth is, I've just been enjoying do more makeup posts lately and I don't know how many people actually care about the hair ones. But I know some do, so here we are.

Here is what I used:
  • Pre poo: Olaplex No 3
  • Cleanse: Curlsmith Co wash
  • Rinse: Curls & Potions Rice water hair rinse
  • Masque: Brigeo Don't Despair, Repair deep conditioning treatment
  • Stylers:  Jessicurl Too Shea Conditioner (as leave in), Rockin Ringlets (curl enhancer), Raw Curls Firm Hold Gel, Curls Blueberry Bliss Oil

I'm still on the same technique for hair styling for the most part. Applying the leave in using the "seaweed technique" then scrunching in all other products with my head flipped followed by air drying.

This was the immediate day after the Day 1 above. This is some of the best day 2 hair I had in a while. There is slight frizz, but not too much. I don't know what it is exactly, but I actually felt pretty that day which is not a common occurrence for me. I got hit on at my husband's show that night, so I guess I did look good? The pick up line was too entertaining- "Is your name Google? I've been searching for you my whole life?" I replied with something along the lines of "My husband" and pointed to Tommie and I laughed it off.

I refreshed with Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray, used a little of Briogeo's Curl Custard on top and a bit of Curlsmith's Treatment Serum to seal it all in. Once that set in my hair an hour or so later, I used some squirts of Jessicurl's upcoming hairspray because I knew it would be a long night. I can't wait for that hairspray to be for sale, it is AMAZING!

I've come to realize I wear a lot of blue. Blue and purple are my favorite colors. :)
