My Look Details for my Friends' Wedding

Last week I went to the wedding of two of my friends and it was such a fun night! One thing I really enjoy about weddings and formal events is the excuse to dress up. Read on for details on my hair, makeup and outfit.

Pictures in this post were taken at the venue, in the car with natural light and also in front of my ring light. All pictures taken with my iPhoneX and no extra edits have been done.

The dress is, of course, by Lilly Pulitzer. I actually got it back in February and have been anxiously waiting to wear it for this wedding. The style is the "Kayla" in the print "Amore Please" The flowers scream Spring while the darker background helped make it New York wedding appropriate. I love the more fitted torso and the sleeve length with flare at the bottom of them! So pretty.  I think outside pictures in this dress would have looked so awesome, but it was raining. It's been raining so much. I paired the dress with the navy ballet flats from Clarks for QVC that I have been LIVING in. These shoes are so comfortable I wore them dancing all night and my feet were fine. I may need a backup pair because I've been reaching for these so much.

-Stylers: Prose Conditioner, DevaCurl B'leave In, Arc Angel Gel, High Shine Oil

I applied products the same way I've been applying on wet hair lately- with my head upright, raking them through small sections and then scrunching. I then used my Aquis Towel to remove excess water and went in with more gel and Prose Oil. I let my hair air dry for hours but then since we had to take pics and get going, I had to diffuse. I prefer air drying but was pleasantly surprised how my diffusing turned out. I used the Briogeo Farewell Frizz Heat Protectant Creme before diffusing with my Dyson Dryer. Once dry, I applied more DevaCurl B'Leave In, Prose Oil and Ouidad Flexible Hairspray.
