Lexli Aloe Vera Skincare

For the past couple of months I have incorporated some products from Lexli into my skincare regimen. I've been quite impressed with what I've tried from this line so far. Read on for my thoughts.

Lexli is a line developed by a Plastic Surgeon and features organic, pharmaceutical-grade Aloe Vera in every product, along with other high quality and proven ingredients. Aloe is fantastic to help promote skin healing and and health of the skin.

Lightening Lift
Them: "Lightening Lift is the aloe vera face mask with the power to transform your skin. Featuring a potent blend of botanicals, including Green Tea, Acacia, Ginseng, Indian Gooseberry, Sage and Grape Seed, along with Kojic Acid, this nurturing product brightens uneven skin tone, improves texture through light exfoliation, calms inflammation, and provides skin with antioxidant protection from the environmental factors that cause premature aging. With just a single use, Lightening Lift provides significant hydration to the skin while temporarily restoring skin firmness, making it an essential treatment before an important event."

Me: I've been using this mask once a week for over six weeks now. It feels different from any other mask I ever used. The consistency is a bit sticky, like honey. As it dries, it tightens on the face, which I believe is what helps it firm the skin. Note that this does not hurt, I just can't open my mouth or it cracks (see pics below) Once I rinse it off, my skin feels soft, looks more even tone and with consistent use I notice my stubborn acne marks fade quicker than usual. I like this mask a lot.

Moisture Intensifier Serum
Them: "Lexli's hydrating serum has long been a favorite among customers who suffer from dryness, as well as those with irritated or sensitive skin. Moisture Intensifier Serum starts with a soothing base of pure aloe vera that effectively calms irritation and redness while encouraging healing, plus nurturing ingredients like allantoin for added hydration and skin smoothness; panthenol (vitamin B5) to retain skin moisture; arnica for reduced inflammation; and glycosaminoglycans, which help to improve skin structure. Moisture Intensifier Serum can be used as an all-over treatment under moisturizer to maximize skin hydration or as a spot treatment for areas particularly prone to dryness. Many customers use Moisture Intensifier Serum after waxing to calm irritated skin."

Me: A little goes a long way with this serum. I use it after my acne treatment but before moisturizing. I have combination, acne and shine prone skin and I don't find this to be too heavy for me. It has helped with my skin tone and leaves my skin feeling moisturized. I believe this serum also helps to counteract the drying effects of anti-acne products. I've also used this on my eyebrows after threading and it helped the post-threading redness very fast.

Revital-Eyes
Them: "Revital-Eyes is a unique aloe vera eye cream with the potential to transform the appearance of the eye area. This advanced formulation includes a powerful blend of peptides to encourage skin’s natural collagen development, thereby firming and toning; Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and smooth the eye area; anti-inflammatories like Licorice Root, Chamomile and Eyebright Extracts, which diminish the appearance of puffiness; Chrysin and N-Hydroxysuccinimide, which aid in the removal of blood-originated pigments to reduce the appearance of undereye circles; anti-aging vitamins, including Vitamin A, Vitamin E and a time-released version of Vitamin C; and antioxidants like Green Tea, Cucumber and Olive Leaf Extracts to neutralize free radicals. With consistent use of Revital-Eyes, the eye area appears younger and brighter."

Me: This eye cream is AMAZING. I'm very impressed. I have super dark circles, and it didn't do much for them, but no cream ever did. It did moisturize my under eye area, which has been feeling more dry than usual after the cold winter we had. Additionally, the fine lines under my eyes look lessened. I use this eye cream twice a day and it absorbs wonderfully and also wears very nicely under makeup. It's not greasy, but it is very hydrating.

Acne Clarifying Lotion
Them: "Clarifying Lotion is the acne treatment that packs a potent punch. Whether you have persistent acne or an occasional blemish, this fast-acting lotion clears breakouts and eliminates skin congestion while reducing the potential for future acne breakouts. Featuring a nurturing base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera with proven acne-fighting ingredients, including Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid (beta-hydroxy acid), Sulfur and Zinc Pyrithione, this acne lotion is formulated to clear clogged pores, reduce inflammation, balance sebum (skin oil) levels and reduce the presence of acne bacteria. Despite being tough on acne, Clarifying Lotion is gentle on skin. Ingredients like White Willow, Chamomile and Ginkgo Biloba Extracts soothe the skin and reduce redness, while antioxidants like Green Tea and Pomegranate Extracts reduce damage caused by free radicals."

Me: I was looking for a new acne treatment when I saw this product and I'm so glad I did. It has the three main ingredients I look for to fight my acne, as well as a ton of other great skincare ingredients inside. It fights pimples without being too drying on the skin. The three ingredients I wanted were Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide and Sulfur. I know personally, from past experience, my skin responds so well to these. I use this all over after cleansing and toning and before the moisturizing serum and my moisturizer. I still do break out once a month (hormones) but other than that, my acne flare ups are few and far between.
