Lexli Aloe Vera Skincare Part 2

A few months ago I reviewed some products from Lexli Aloe Vera Skincare. You can read that post HERE. For the last few months, I've tried even more from the line and am here to talk about them!
Read on for my thoughts.

As a reminder about the brand, Lexli is a line developed by a Plastic Surgeon and features organic, pharmaceutical-grade Aloe Vera in every product, along with other high quality and proven ingredients. Aloe is fantastic to help promote skin healing and and health of the skin.

In THIS post, I went into detail about The Lightening Lift Mask, Eye Cream, Acne Lotion (my favorite product!), and Moisturizing Serum.

Acne Cleanser
Them: "Acne Cleanser is formulated to address the multiple factors that encourage the development of acne while healing blemishes, making it a "must have" product for those with acne-prone, oily and even combination skin types. Featuring a potent combination of acne-fighting ingredients, including a base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera, Acne Cleanser removes dirt, debris, acne-causing bacteria and excess oil (sebum) from the skin's surface while deep-cleaning the pores. With consistent use, this advanced formulation helps to balance the skin's sebum levels, thereby reducing shine while eliminating congestion, calming inflammation and refining the pores. The addition of antioxidants help to fight free-radical damage, thereby optimizing skin health."

Me: This is a great cleanser. I really think it helped to fight bacteria and not have new pimples form. It felt nice on my skin and not overly drying. The directions say leave on for 2 minutes then rinse, so I apply, brush my teeth, rinse and I'm good to go! My only negative to this was I used a pea size twice a day and used it all up in less than a month, which is pretty quickly.

Tone and Balance
Them: "Tone & Balance is the skin care product with many uses. At its foundation, this aloe-based product is an effective face toner that removes excess sebum (skin oil) and remaining traces of makeup and impurities after cleansing, while restoring its natural pH. Loaded with emollients and humectants that moisturize the skin and slow transepidermal water loss, use of Tone & Balance leaves the skin feeling soft and supple.
With such a high concentration of organic, pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera in combination with other skin-soothing ingredients, Tone & Balance also has the following uses:
Apply to burned or sunburned skin for soothing relief and aid in the reduction of inflammation.
Before the application of makeup or other skin care products, apply Tone & Balance to prime the skin
Use as an aftershave to calm redness and inflammation.
Following the application of makeup, spritz a light mist of Tone & Balance onto face to “set” your look.
Use in place of body lotion following a bath or shower.
Helps to ease discomfort and redness associated with inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema and rosacea.
Apply throughout the day to refresh and rehydrate the skin. (Tip: keep a bottle of Tone & Balance refrigerated for the ultimate midday pick-me-up.)
Apply regularly to sensitive skin or skin that is prone to acne, rosacea or eczema to help calm inflammation and redness.

Me: This is a great multi-use toner! I use it morning and night after cleansing but before all my other skincare. I've also used it to freshen up throughout the day and after the beach. It is WONDERFUL after the beach- I even spray it on my husband. It helps soothe the skin after being in the sun. It's very lightweight and feels even lighter than water.

For the below three moisturizers, I tried each one for about three weeks or so before moving onto the next to really get a feel for what they did.

Daily Moisturizer for Oily Skin
Them: "Lexli’s gel-based face moisturizer for oily skin is an oil-free, aloe-based, lightweight formulation that works to regulate the skin’s oil level (sebum) while locking in vital moisture. Daily Moisturizer for Oily Skin reduces shine and mattifies the skin while minimizing the appearance of large pores. Skin is left feeling hydrated and comfortable – never greasy.
Daily Moisturizer for Oily Skin can be used in the morning and evening, year-round, for those with oily skin. During those months when higher temperatures and increased humidity cause skin to become oilier, all other skin types can use this product for day-time oil control."

Me: This doesn't have SPF, but that isn't a deal breaker because I use a separate SPF every day. This moisturizer absorbs quick and really does help control excess shine and mattify the skin. Makeup applies over it wonderfully. A little goes a long way, you don't even need a whole pump to get your whole face. I like this one.

Day Moisturizer with SPF 30 featuring AloeGlyC Complex
Them: "Day Moisturizer features Lexli's exclusive AloeGlyC Complex®, a patented skin resurfacing technology that works to activate the skin's natural rejuvenation response. With added SPF, this product protects skin from the environmental factors that cause premature skin aging while keeping skin hydrated and comfortable throughout the day.
Like all Lexli products, Day Moisturizer with SPF 30 features a base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera. Why does that matter? Unlike water, the base ingredient used in nearly all other skin care products, aloe can penetrate skin tissue to encourage healing while delivering active ingredients. What's more, aloe is an effective anti-inflammatory. This is important, given that inflammation is one of the leading causes of skin aging. Me: Of the three moisturizers, this was my least favorite. It was a bit too heavy for my skin for this time of year. I will revisit it in the Winter. I was sad I didn't like how it felt because I liked how it incorporated the brand's AloeGlyC complex for anti-aging. This is another moisturizer where you need so little at once to cover your whole face!

Acne Moisturizer with SPF 15
Them: "Acne Moisturizer with SPF15 is a lightweight, non-greasy and soothing formulation designed to meet the unique needs of acne-prone skin. This multi-tasking product features a base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade Aloe Vera with effective acne-fighting ingredients like Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Retinyl Propionate along with botanical extracts, including White Willow, Arnica Montana and Licorice Root, to heal blemishes while regulating sebum (skin oil) levels, killing the bacteria that causes breakouts and minimizing redness.
For those with acne, maintaining proper moisture levels is important, as skin that is dehydrated or dry can become inflamed and increasingly prone to breakouts. Acne Moisturizer is packed with humectants and emollients to hydrate the skin and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) without clogging pores, leaving skin feeling comfortable. The addition of UV protection and antioxidants protects skin from UV and environmental damage."

Me: This is my favorite of the three moisturizers! It absorbs very quickly, feels lightweight, plays well under makeup and helps fight pesky pimples. I like that this is another acne product that isn't drying for me!

AloeGlyC Glycolic Acid Exfoliator
I will be back with a full, detailed review on this one! This is one of the top selling products in the line. I am finishing up a similar product I use nightly and then will start this. With skincare, I really like to use stuff up before starting now so products don't go bad and expire. I HATE wasting.

Overall, I am still really impressed with the Lexli Aloe Vera skincare products. I've noticed less pimples and more even skin tone since using them. Definitely be sure to check them out if you are looking for new products, especially if you have acne prone skin.
