Together Beauty: New Clean Hair Care at Sephora!

Together Beauty is a brand new brand sold exclusively at Sephora developed by celebrity hairstylist, Sam Brocato. The cruelty free line is based on aromatherapy, is clean, toxic free and 95+% natural! The packaging is made out of recycled plastics. Right away when I saw this new line I knew I had to try as soon as possible just seeing how the products contain (and doesn't contain!) everything I look for in products. I was lucky enough to try three of the products from the line so far. Read on for my thoughts.

Here is some more information about the company:

"Together Beauty, powered by Supercharged Naturals, for beautiful, healthy hair. Created by celebrated hair stylist Sam Brocato and Maesa to develop clean, toxin-free formulas. Inspired by the concept of “togetherness”, products are easily mixed, enhancing performance. Haircare never looked so good, now that it’s made with wisdom.

The 15-sku assortment of clean hair-care and styling products is meant to improve on the efficacy and performance of fixatives in traditional professional hair products with Brocato’s background in aromatherapy and natural ingredients. Almost all of the products are silicone-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free and formulated without a long list of “no-no” ingredients such as sulfates, parabens, formaldehyde, petroleum derivatives and synthetic fragrances. Active ingredients are natural and plant-based, such as lavender, quinoa, mongongo and coconut. All of the products are color safe."

Crown and Glory Smoothing Mask
Them: "A 99 percent natural mask powered by mongongo oil to deliver smoother and sleeker strands, tame frizz, and add intense shine after just one use. Crown & Glory is a smoothing hair mask that intensely fortifies hair to create smooth manageability. It’s formulated with a unique blend of mongongo oil, quinoa, baobab seed, and castor oil for natural moisture. While this formula is rich, it does not weigh down hair. It is scented with a light floral aroma of roses and linden with hints of mandarin orange and ginger."

Me: This mask is very rich and thick in consistency. That being said, it is so potent, I only needed a small amount (which is so shocking for heavy handed me!) and my hair absorbed it so quickly. Somehow, though the formula feels like a heavy butter, it felt so light in my hair once applied and even my air dried hair felt lighter than usual, which is incredible. The scent is delicious- very light, warm and relaxing. I noticed my curls were shiny defined, less frizzy, and so silky soft after using! I look forward to seeing what continued regular use of this mask does, especially for my problem areas, like my hairline. Even them and my ends were less frizzier and calmer than usual. I'm impressed.

Flower Supply Hair Oil
Them: "A 100 percent natural goddess of all oils powered by blend of argan and jojoba essential oils to deliver sleek shine and a supremely smooth finish. This oil was curated to nurture and add moisture and shine. This blend features sacha inchi, marula, borage, camellia, palmarosa, and baobob. This indulgent oil doubles as aromatherapy with botanical fragrance of lavender oil straight from Bulgaria's famous rose valley. Go ahead, treat yourself. Scented with a feminine, warm, and soft concentration of lavender and rose, and infused with natural oils."

Me: I LOVE a good oil blend and this is definitely A GOOD OIL BLEND. It is a floral scent that isn't too overpowering. Since it is all natural, I like and appreciate the fact the scent does not smell artificial or fake, which can cause me headaches. The oil feels very, very lightweight and is another fast absorber. It isn't a greasy oil and doesn't weigh down my hair at all. I've used it on both wet and dry hair now and really enjoy it on both. The shine it adds to my hair is wonderful, it also calms frizz quite nicely. I've also used this on my skin and cuticles. It's become a wonderful cuticle oil at night for me also. A little goes a long way so the bottle will last so long.

Promise Land Setting Spray
Them: "A 99 percent natural, multitasking setting spray infused with bamboo to provide texture, lift, light hold, and shine. This natural setting and styling spray creates flexible hold for wet or dry use. It is infused with spirulina, chamomile, and sage extracts to protect and hold your hairstyle, and is scented like fresh coconut mixed with eucalyptus essential oils, offering refreshing, warm vanilla notes."

Me: Aerosol free setting sprays are so important! I was extra excited for this. This is another delicious scent, very warm and a tad sweet, but not like fake candy sweet. I again thank the natural ingredients for that. I like how fine the mist sprays from the nozzle. The ingredients in here are so wonderful to not only help with hold and shine, but also treat and repair the hair. I like that it is infused with bamboo, which is a personal favorite hair care ingredient for strength. Like the oil, I've tried this on wet and dry hair so far. On dry, days old hair, I notice how it calms down frizz that popped up (it has been extra humid here), and on wet hair on top of helping with frizz, it added shine, hold and more control to my curls. Going back to how humid it has been, I noticed when I use this on wet hair my curls do not unwantly expand as big as they can, which is great. This hair spray has hold but does not leave my hair crunchy or stiff, like some sprays can.

WASH DAY
For this wash, I used a shampoo, leave in and gel I use regularly so I can see the difference that the Together Beauty products make. I left the Crown and Glory Smoothing Mask in about 25 minutes before rinsing out. I sealed my stylers (leave in and gel) with the Flower Supply Oil and then after gently squeezing out excess moisture with a hair towel and adding a little more gel/oil combo, I sprayed Promise Land Setting Spray all over.
